Knife Making Classes

Join us at Skarpari for an unforgettable experience. Over a two-day seminar, you will craft your very own knife. This hands-on workshop is perfect for those looking to learn the art of knife making and walk away with a unique, self-made tool.

The Experience

Day 1: Bevel Grinding and Handle Preparation

Your journey begins with an introduction to the basics of knife making. Under the guidance of our expert instructors, you will learn about the different materials and tools used in the process. We will spend the day bevel grinding and polishing the blade, selecting handle materials, and wrapping up the day by gluing the handle to the blade. A sack lunch featuring local Lopez Island products is provided to keep you energized.

Day 2: Handle Finishing and Blade Sharpening

The second day starts with a delicious Spanish-style breakfast, featuring local Lopez Island products and ingredients. You will then proceed to grind and polish the handle and conclude the day with sharpening the blade. By the end of the day, you will have a beautifully crafted knife that you made with your own hands.
